| Urgent Repair Program URP caters to individuals who are disabled, veterans, seniors (62 or older), single parent homes with a dependent under 18, a dependent child with a threat of lead in the home or a family of 5 or more. This program is brought to our communities by NC Housing Finance Trust Fund. It's a loan that is forgiven as long as they continue to live in that home for a certain amount of years after the repair is completed. Unfortunately for the upcoming year, all of the funding has been allotted. We'll apply for more funding 2021. New Construction/Home Ownership New Construction/Home Ownership caters to families who can't afford a traditional mortgage. This is a program which has windows in which each county can apply. All persons interested in the application process have to attend an orientation given by our Family Services person, Keturah Key. Note that Anson county will open near Spring 2020. Volunteerism is essential to our mission and goal in serving the community. It makes our homes affordable, makes for great team building, and it's a great way to bring awareness to Habitat. | Must interview in Monroe office. Call 704-296-9414. |
